Transfers through Discount Gun Sales LLC
We DO NOT ACCEPT TRANSFERS FROM INDIVIDUALS - ONLY FROM OTHER FFL HOLDERS
Please read and understand all of the following details regarding our transfer service BEFORE you initiate your transaction.
Discount Gun Sales retail locations offer transfer services for incoming or outgoing transfers. The process is simple: bring Photo I.D. and a sales associate will assist you in any incoming or outgoing transfers.
Our administrative fee is $50.00 per serial number for items we do not have in stock or sell. If we have stocked the firearm within the last 90 calender days, the transfer fee will be $100.00.
For outgoing transfers, bring your weapon to be transferred UNLOADED and packaged, and your driver's license. Give the receiving FFL our fax number, and have them fax to us a copy of their FFL certificate. Acquisition of the receiving FFL is the responsibility of the customer. We will ship the weapon to them when we have received the FFL and the customer has paid for the service/shipping.
For incoming transfers, the customer must make the sending FFL aware of our policies. If the box we receive does not have the receiving individual's name clearly marked and a copy of their FFL included, we will simply return the package. We will not hold unmarked firearms, in any case. The receiving customer needs to make us aware of any incoming transfers and pay the transfer fee before we receive the item. Again, items that we have no knowledge of and are unmarked will simply be returned to the sender. The receiving individual is subject to Washington State Firearms Laws and will fill out any necessary paperwork, and will undergo any applicable wait period.
DGS provides the transfer service as a courtesy service, and will not be held responsible for weapon condition or content -- nor will DGS have any responsibility for tracking your package via UPS, USPS, FedEx, or otherwise. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to follow up with the package, as DGS will make no attempt to contact you to come receive your package. If, after 30 days, we have not been contacted to complete the transfer, we will return the package to sender.
